Deleted plist for System Preferences

Hey guys,I seemed to have deleted my plist on 10.6 and I was hoping someone could email me the System preferences please?

If the plist is all you deleted then just reboot and the OS will create a new one.

Well I seemed to have deleted the plist and the version.I have rebooted but when I click on the System Preferences it doesn't open.😡

Look in your Applications folder or use SpotLight to search for it.

I can find it,but it will not open.Not in applications or in spotlight.

Where is it? Move it back to the Applications folder. How are you trying to launch System Preferences? Apple Menu? Dock? Directly from the app?

I have tried all ways.When i check the folder,there are no plist or version.

Sorry. You've lost me. Can you find System Preferences on your hard drive or not.

I know where System Preferences is ,it just will not open.I need a new plist and version as I do not have any and it will not open.

Download Pacifist and extract System Preferences from your installation disc. Then, as stated above, when you run it, a new plist will be created.

I don't have an istallation cd,only the restore usb card.When I plug it in it is prompting me to restore.Can't someone just send me the plist and version or will that not work?
