Deleted System Prefs

I have a major problem. I was using clean app to delete some old programs, and it deleted something to do with the system prefs. It just shows a question mark over the icon. What do I do??? Can i just install that program?

Stay away from cleaning apps. Does reinstalling the relevant OS combo update help?

Try installing it off the install disks. I'm not sure how good your chances are, though. You might be able to pull it off another intel-based mac.

Would it just be a complete reinstall? Wiping out everything?

Just download and reinstall this. If that fails, I guess an Archive & Install would help. Back up your data although technically you shouldn't lose anything.

Thank you so much for your quick help. It turns out that there is not an archive and install option with the disks i had, but there is an option to upgrade and it worked like a charm.
