deleted text returns as grey

I have been having this problem recently. I'm using a year old iPad pro IOS current.

Hope I am explaining this correctly.

When I am in the text box replying to a thread I can use the delete key. When I want to delete a paragraph I hover over, select all then hit the delete key. I complete my reply and hit submit. Never had any problems before.

Recently the problem I'm having is this, when I'm in the reply text box and I decide I don't want to submit I again do the above and the text box is blank. I leave that forum and reply to a different forum. However, when I go back to the previous forum and thread, and want to reply to a different post, the previously deleted text appears in the box and it's greyed out.

Yesterday I was composing a reply to the Racist in Virginia, post 757. Decided not to submit it so I deleted the text and text box was blank. But I see this morning it was posted.

What am I doing wrong or is this a system thing. I did find the answer here as to why my posts were merging. I did a search and couldn't find an answer to this problem I'm having.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanxs

The grey text is when a draft has been automatically saved and you return back to the thread later. You need to delete the text again and click the Delete Draft option to clear the text (it's under the floppy disk icon).

It was a new feature introduced when the forum got upgraded a while back.
