Deleting calendars on MBP does not delete them on MobileMe

Any idea why not that I've deleted calendars on my MBP it does not follow thru to MobileMe? Changes appointments follows thru etc. But actually deleting a calendar does not. For example I had 5 empty calendars in iCal (due to accidentally hit new too often). I removed them on the MBP, but these deletions do not show up in MobileMe. Any ideas?
