deleting 'locked' file from desktop

I had a .avi file on a disc which never worked. i transferred it onto my desktop and though I have put the original disc into machine I can't get rid of it. Every time I try to delete it from my desktop it says it's locked.

Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

Actually, It is static file and it has been working in any process so you can't delete it.
