Deleting media clip in iMovie

For some reason I just can't delete a media clip from iMovie. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I even put the program in the Trash and recovered it, but it's still there!

Hmm...selecting the clip and then choosing "Delete Media from Event" in the File Menu works for me.

That normally works for me but not this clip! I've even removed iMovie from the computer and re installed it but it's still there😡

OK. This isn't normally recommended, but try selecting the clip and then go File Menu>Reveal in Finder and try deleting there.
