deleting messages after 1 year

Hi, I have set iMessage deleting after 1 year on my iPad, MacBook and iPhone. I did it many years ago. Never had any problems with it until February/March this year. Since then, messages are deleted on each of these devices with an accuracy of +/- 3 months. On iPhone I have the last ones from August 17, 2023 (!), on MacBook I still have them from May 13, 2023. I tried setting unlimited everywhere and after a few days I returned to the previous settings and nothing. I searched the internet, but I didn't find anything. Have any of you had a similar case?
I have the latest OS on each device.
