Deleting messages doesnt seem to free up cloud storage space

Deleted a bunch of messages, nothing in my storage in the cloud changes.

I have even deleted a couple "top conversations" but no change at all in my cloud.

I see there is no way to delete them from the cloud, only the phone, right? What am I doing wrong?

make sure you are also emptying the “recently deleted” bucket in messages after deleting. Messages will sit in there for about 30 days after you delete them.
