iPhone 11 Pro Deleting old message groups iMessage

Good evening, I was wondering if anyone has this issue? I’ll type someone’s name and all the old contact groups will appear before the contact I’m looking for. I use to be able to swipe and delete them in one shot, but that doesn’t work anymore. I went into iCloud and there are no contact groups to delete. Some of these contact groups I have messaged in about a year.

It’s super annoying. I spent time deleting them all once and then they just reappear. It’s such a major fault in iMessage in my opinion. It’s really annoying.

I have so many that I cannot delete. I’ll start to type a contact and I have to scroll through all the groups to find the one person. Most of the groups are people I haven’t sent messages too in months.
