I recently installed CS3 Design Premium, and I didn't uninstall it the right way before, so now, when trying to reinstall it, it says it is in conflict with CS3 Design Premium. How can delete the traces of the old install, so that I can do a fresh install?

Well there will be traces in a couple possible places
your user folder >library>preferences then search in there
your user folder >library>Application support
Then the root of the HD >library>application supprt
the root of the HD>library>preferences

I think those are the spots it might have put stuff.

Do you still have the uninstaller in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers? Running that may work. Adobe also provides the CS3Clean Script that might help you get back on your feet. See this document for details.
