Deleting unsent messages?

Somewhat often when I do not have good reception, I dictate a message and it does not get sent. However, several hours later when at home it will get sent. When I open a message that was not sent, I see an option to try again or cancel. How do you just delete the message so it does not get sent later?

If you tap and hold on the message then tap on more from the submenu you should see the delete option.

I just tried on a regular message that was already sent and I do not see that option. I will have to try next time a message does not send. Thanks
