If I have some mpeg-4 clips on my HD that I converted to DV, then imported (as DV movies) into iMovie '08 to work on for a project, can I safely delete the mpeg-4s? The movies I'm working on are still slightly a work-in-progress so I don't want to toss clips that iMovie might call on later, but if I can free up a couple GB's of HD space, I'd like to do that.

When iMovie '08 imports video, it either copy or moves the file (you can choose), evidently in this case it copied the file, so yes, delete the original.
