Did the USB version require declawing? I have a non-declawed PS/2 version floating around here...

No, the USB version of the CueCat does not require any modification. The PS/2 version might work with a PS/2 to USB adapter but would require a small hardware modification as described on various web sites.

Scanning may be faster but I found entering the bar code is pretty fast and always accurate as you are hte one doing it. Glad I waited till week 4, there was no way in hell i was going to buy it for $40.
