Delivery Date accuracy?

How accurate is the Delivery date given to a customer when you order from the Apple store? I just canceled my original order and reordered my iPhone 6s. I was surprised that the order from the apple store still gave me a delivery date of 9/25. Will it deliver on 9/25 or is that just an estimate? I have never pre-ordered a phone from the Apple store.

Ive almost never seen them pushed back. I can say that barring unforeseen circumstances that you'll still get it on the 25th.

Apple's dates are usually very accurate. AT&T on the other hand...those can change quite a bit from the initial estimate you're given.
