Delivery dates for BTO's

Ordered an iMac 2013 on 04.10.13 but do not seem to have received confirmation of a despatch although I have received the Applecare?
Do I wait for delivery before registering my AC?

I believe when you buy AC and your mac at the same time its already registered. If not, I would wait for the Mac since you need the serial number of the mac.
