Looks like it finally cleared 😀 And nah, I don't think I'll be compensated because I already have been. lol. I had called to check on the status before it went prepared for shipment and they gave me a free magic trackpad since it had been so long.

i ordered it with the trackpad. well at least we got something. The guy I spoke with estimated the delivery date would push out to Mon-Tue. Your people give you any better info?

@gsmumbo How long did your machine sit in Anchorage before Apple/FedEx squared away the paperwork? Mine has been on the ground in Anchorage for just over 24 hours now and has had the Commercial Invoice required delay for most of that time.

almost 48 hours for us... we were on the same shipment.
 
Unfortunately I ordered through a reseller ... Have spoken to apple and they don't care! They blame it on the reseller!
 
Mine would have arrived this friday (on my birthday), if TNT hadn't lost it or had it stolen from them 🙁.
Ordered and payed on the second of january, still waiting 🙁

need some help from one who get's its new iMac, ordered december.

I'm wondering where this units are build, so, can you post the first 4 characters of your units (which codes the assembly place), preferred model 13,2. For examples, some model 12,2 starts with C02G...

Ordered 27 i7 3.4 , 3TB fusion drive, 680 MX. December 27th Scotland.

Prepared for shipment 29th Jan
Shipped 30 th Jan
Arrived finally today 5th Feb. (almost 6 weeks later)

Can't wait to set it up when I get home on Friday .

That's weird. Exactly what is Apple blaming on the reseller?

They told me that the reseller was holding orders until they had a sufficient amount to order which I'm sure is rubbish

That is very possible, but do we know for sure that resellers are not holding orders until they have a sufficient amount to order?

It's a huge thumbs down to Apple either way. They are really pissing me off with this waiting game. Apple should remove the word Premium from "Premium Resellers", it's a f*king disgrace.

I ordered it through MacSolutions, I am still looking at delivery in March if I am lucky. Apple Australia were no help in expediting delivery, they blame it on the reseller.

At least you guys have computers right now. My PC died after 5 years of hard work, so I ordered a 27" iMac the same day (Jan 24). It doesn't look like I'll get it before mid-March and the 2 weeks without a computer is already killing me. I have so much work to do with nothing to do it on. I've tried borrowing my roommates laptop but that thing is so old even Photoshop won't run on it. So frustrated right now!!!

3.5 weeks no computer it died 5 says after I ordered the new one . iPad had died the week before and then I dropped the iPhone. So yeah I know what it's like. Mine arrived Tuesday.
 
Isn't this a clear violation of the agreement? Were you promised the computer within a certain time frame? If yes, the you should be able to cancel the order, or get some redemption.
 
Hi Guys,

Has anyone ordered 2 imacs (BTOs)? Im just wondering will my order be much slower than ordering 1 BTO. Im waiting since mid Dec now. 🙁
 
Just got off the phone with MacMall who originally told me my order from Dec 29 would be shipping by Feb 7th. That figure has been updated to Feb 12th.

After I received the letter from MacMall saying "your order has been delayed indefinitely" I placed a duplicate order with Apple. It'll be interesting to see what happens, because, estimating given dates from the spreadsheet, my Apple order will be shipping around the 12th as well. I plan on cancelling whichever one doesn't ship first.

Order from MacMall: Dec 29
Order from Apple: Jan 24
