Delivery times for newly released macbooks

Generally what are the delivery times like for newly released macbooks? And how soon after release do they become available to buy? I'm guessing they don't go to pre-order or have 1 month delivery times like new iOS devices.

Normally new MBPs are available in store the day after announcement and can be ordered and shipped within a few days.
