Got a Dell P2415Q for my 2015 MBP 13". Beautiful monitor, headache free installation. All good. But, the monitor is considerably warmer then the MBP's display. I much more prefer the balanced and cooler look of the MBP's display (Apple has phenomenal factory calibration of their displays). Any way to get the monitor to match incredibly close to the MBP's display. I played around with MacOs display calibration settings, toyed around with the monitor's internal settings, various color profiles in system preferences and always the result is same: The monitor is much warmer with a much greener cast. Is it even possible to get identical colors and cast on both displays? The monitor is an LG built display and I'm assuming so is the display on the MBP. Do I need one of those Spyder or colourmonkey hardware calibraters? Any help appreciated.
I have two 2415Q monitors, both calibrated with a Spyder4Express. Try one of these profiles (copy file to ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles) https://www.dropbox.com/s/27nmfjiahaw71yb/Dell4K-Left-20Dec16.icc?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6u5kj0f97nl6ha/Dell4K-Right-20Dec16.icc?dl=0
Thank you very much. Do I only apply these profiles to the monitor or to both of the displays? Pardon my ignorance. Very new to this.
These profiles are only for use on the Dell P2415Q. Both profiles should be very similar, unless my P2415Q screens are vastly different (I don't think they are). Here is a profile for my 13" non-touch MacBook pro ... may work for yours as long as the displays are somewhat similar. https://www.dropbox.com/s/47ehoovysjr402s/rMBP13-09Nov16.icc?dl=0
I installed the profile you linked on my monitor and THANK YOU!!! You're incredible. Thank you, again.
