Hey guys... wanted some advice.

On the Apple side of things, I currently have a 2013 21.5" iMac at home and (cough) a 2009 White Macbook.

As I've posted in other threads, my 2009 definitely has been chugging along after SSD and RAM upgrades a few years ago, but ideally I'd like a little more than my 1.5 hours of battery when out on the road.

I'm not really looking for a lot of mobile power, just something to do some Office work, watch Netflix, and maybe some Garageband. I've been going back and forth between Air and MB, but that's for a different thread. I've always wanted a bigger monitor for the iMac, and came across the Dell U3415W which Dell currently has for $619 with a 'cash-back- site offering 10% which is pretty nice.

Honestly, I'll probably have to see 4K in person, but I really don't know if that's overly important for my needs at this point, with my iMac at home mainly being a Garageband/Rocksmith2014 machine. (I do photo/video editing on my PC)

Just wondering, since it's 3440x1440, if either the new 13" non-TB or Air would have any issues with that monitor? and would I really be missing much by not going 4K? From all the threads with LG having some problems, and issues with screen scaling and all that, sounds like it'd be a can of worms for me?

Thanks for any insight!
