I'm wondering; has Apple accepted any demo or intro type applications?
Currently I'm developing a game that'll have quite a lot to it, but the total development time after the engine is created will still be a while, so I was thinking, what if a cut-down version were released with the tutorial, plus a few (complete) levels, at a really low price-point?

This would allow funds to be gathered until the final version is available with all the levels, plus the in-app store it will also feature, at the full price. The idea being that it gives people a taste of what the game will be like, by presenting fully-playable levels to them early, and hopefully help with developing the rest.

Demos are usually free. You'd basically be charging for a lite version. Not the best way to go considering the market, but that's just my opinion.

Or you could release the game at a low price point with some levels and sell additional game packs through in-app purchases. But at least make the engine the best it can be for the initial game so people can see it's capabilities.
