i dropped my MBP the other day, and it has a very slight dent on the left corner (near the magsafe connector).

I was wondering does the dent void my warranty? everything on the computer is running fine, and all diagnostics checked out fine.

Naturally it depends on how noticeable the dent is. Unfortunately, some geniuses, if they notice a dent, will not honor the warranty; however, many geniuses will.

In short, it depends upon the extent of the damage, the individual genius, and the reason why you're trying to make use of the warranty.

Well put.

FWIW, I had a dent near the DVI connector. It was enough to interfere with connecting the DVI connector. Since my issue had nothing to do with that area, Apple honored my warranty work.

Dents don't void warranties, but say you're magsafe connect is loose or something, they might blame it on the drop.
