My HomePod sits on a table against a wall. It has around 180 (maybe a little more) degrees of clear air so to speak. However as you face it, if you stand on the right side of the HomePod the sound has a lot more depth to it, where as on the left it's a lot shallower and more flat. I've also tried moving it to the opposite site of the room, so it has the same conditions however the right side still produces that deeper sound. As this is a circular device I was under the impression it should produce the same type of sound all round, do I have a faulty unit?

Does the distance you stand from the left side make a difference?

Mine sound identical regardless. Maybe try resetting it, aside from that I would warranty it.
