The wingtips seem to easily peel apart eventually.

Apple replaced one side of the earbuds that was affected a few months ago. Now they are replacing the other side, since I noticed a small tear.

I’m grateful that they’re doing it for free with no questions asked. But isn’t this going to go through the same route again?

How many times will Apple replace them or will they just stop when warranty ends?

I bought these at launch and use them several times a week for running or in the gym and have had no problems with them. Perhaps a defect with a particular batch? How long have you had them?

Since launch as well.

It could have been caused by cleaning my earbuds, but I’m very gentle with it

Owned two pairs since launch and use them equally throughout the week for different purposes with no issues. Only “clean” them with water and q-tips without issue.

However, I have seen pics of the peeling a month or so ago and it seems to be the same material Apple uses for other products so results may vary.

I think that is because the way people take them out from the case. Just don’t grab them from “wings” when taking out.
