Desktop background won't stop changing!

On Tiger on my fresh Mac Mini, it's all been fine up until now, where the background changes every five second through the black and white backgrounds, I've tried stopping it and changing the background, but it just goes back to what it was. 🙁

So you unchecked "Change picture: every {time duration}" in System Preferences?
