desktop folder

i moved my desktop folder by accident whilst playing around with automator...... now theres no desktop folder.....

i dragged it back but it has different folder icon and and screen capture short cuts dont work.

anyone know how to restore everything back to standard?

A simple log out and back in, or failing that, a restart, should do the trick.
