Desktop Icons Placement

I know this is small but I was wondering if I could change the order of my desktop icons. I have my computers hard drive first, then the cd in the computer and then my external hard drive. Could I move the external hard drive after the computers hard drive, then the cd ? Thx

You can move them but then they won't autosort (but you can keep the option to snap to grid).

you can just move them however you would like and they will stay that way after reboot.
