My apple magic keyboard 2 A1644 finally broke and I was looking to replace it... I was looking at the current model that they sell with iMac and it looks the same except it's curved , but it seems smaller to me than the one I have... like 1-2% smaller in some way, like keys are closer together.

Maybe this is just because I'm testing it out at the apple store standing up versus siting down at my desk... but is that true?

I swear when I try to look up the specs and reviews people tell me they are the same. But the writer in me, swears they feel different.

Maybe I'd get used to it and love it.

I remember long ago how I hated the new macbook keys vs ibook keyboard as they were first to put space between the keys, and now of course that's the way most computers go these days.

You’ll get used to it in a week or two. For years I used a ‘chiclet’ style wired keyboard from about 2006 or so on my desk at work. I'm pretty sure this is the layout the original AA battery-based keyboard used. When I switched to the current Magic Keyboard about 20 months ago, it felt awkward for a few days because it is a slightly more compact layout.
