Is it just me or Desktop mode from Safari seems to have vanished in iOS 9 beta 1? Can no longer see that option when I pull down on safari.

either it is not part of the DP versions or Apple move this option somewhere else 
it has moved to the share/actions sheet. tap the middle button on the bottom toolbar to find it
This was one of the quickest problems --> resolutions I've seen on MR. Thanks guys!
