Desktop size problem

Just updated to High Sierra and now the displayed desktop is oversized after re-booting. I can go back to Preferences and change the display mode to the correct scale, but again, after re-booting, the same problem occurs. Any thoughts?

Yeah, you didn't say what kind of Mac/monitor you have.

Yeah, the problem has just been resolved. NVRAM needed resetting.
