Do you know of a desktop stand for the iphone that would give you enough clearance to plug the lightening cable in the bottom and still be able to stand in portrait?

Hope that makes sense?!

Thanks :)

I looked at this but it's not case friendly. I was looking for just a stand really so I could hold the phone to view in both portrait and landscape but be able to plug the lightning cable in to charge.

Will keep looking.

That's the one I've just been looking at, seems good. Will probably order one. Thanks :)

I use a Vapor Dock, although it does not hold the phone landscape, but work well with lightning cable and can accommodate carious bumper cases.

I'm using this one: I like it a lot.

Nobody's mentioned the HiRise? I think this is one of the most attractive iphone stands to date. I plan on getting one next time i'm near an Apple store

HiRise is nice but the OP is just looking for something to hold up his phone while it charges, in both landscape and portrait. Doesn't sound like it has to be a port dock.

Oh hey! I was checking this one out the other day. So can you actually charge it in landscape too? Or does it just act as a stand in that instance?

The stand just has a slot through which you feed the cable when in upright mode. In landscape I just attach the cable from the exposed side.

I think it got some rocky reviews when it was released with a very high cost. Nowadays the price has dropped a lot. It's not really innovative but it's a pretty design.

I have the apple leather case and want a compatible dock.

I was about to pull the trigger on the new belkin express adjustable dock, but someone's nice amazon review has made me think otherwise.

I thought the concept was the lightning connector would adjust up/down to fit a case.

Upon reading a review, it sounds like the connector and shoulder (about the width of the old 30 pin) moves. So if the lightning connector doesn't move independently, then this dock would have the same issue as the 30-pin adapter.

Worthless!

Still trying to find the perfect case that fits the official leather.
