I had the Desmay on my 4S the entire time I had it, which was almost a year. I did not see any other cases during that time that I thought looked better, or were more comfortable to use. Earlier this week I mailed in my 4S to the Amazon Electronics Trade-In and got the full "like new" trade-in value of $500. So the Desmay provides enough protection, IMHO, if you are careful. I don't have any small kids or pets in the house, and do have a lot of carpeting and upholstery, so my usage may be easier on the phone than other people's.

I have looked over a lot of other offerings for my 5, which arrived today... I thought this one looked promising: http://us.cygnett.com/iphone/iphone...-hard-case-with-metal-cover-for-iphone-5.html
Provides a little of its own styling, and you can get it in black or silver brushed aluminum, to match the back of either the black of white phone.

However, that case does look quite a bit thicker than the Desmay, and since I really want to preserve the thin profile of the phone (it's one of the first things everyone notices when using it, including myself), I think I will wait for the Desmay again. For scratch protection and easier grip in the tiniest case possible, I think it can't be beat.

I have a screen protector coming in and was wondering if this combo with it would look good/offer good protection.

Someone else in the forums posted it but I can't remember what thread to give proper credit for finding this.

This case looks awesome for those just looking for scratch protection. I love the black since it basically helps keep the look. Anyone have one for the 4s?

Is the link above it the order page for iPhone 5 cases? When I go back to their home page and press iPhone 5, its shows "coming soon".

I think you should be good with this combo. The Desmay case does not really come in contact with the screen surface or edges, so any screen protector should work with it.

The iPhone 5 case is not available yet, but should be released "in a few days", according to the website: http://www.desmay.com/collections/iphone-5. I am going to wait and order this one.

Their FB page updated today with this...

"Almost there guys, we are having the final touches... And trust us, it worth the wait, you will be surprised!!!"

Can't wait!

They just sent out a new tweet saying they're going on sale this weekend.

I was hoping they'd launch tonight :/

Are these cases bendable or hard plastic?

Hard plastic that is so thin it's slightly bendable. It's pretty much only good for scratch protection. I've cracked one from a 2 foot drop onto a wood floor. Quite beautiful though. Literally paper thin.

Even though I will be getting this case, potential buyers need to be aware that it will not protect your phone when dropped.
I dropped my 4S with this case and the the case cracked open.
But it's a great case for protecting against scratches.

I dropped my 4S from about chest height onto tiled floor with my Desmay Slight on it and it protected my phone perfectly. The case had a crack on it afterwards though.

I want one soo bad but I've got a full body skin so

You must use some thick paper

I guess it depends on what kind of paper :p. Not notebook paper thin but more like decent printer paper. Definitely thinner than your average business card. Thin enough to be able to crush it in your hand. Can't say that about many cases.

I'm now torn between the Desmay, the SGP Ultra Thin Air (clear), and (thanks to a previous commenter on this thread) the Zero 5 (clear).

The Slight by Desmay covers all around the iPhone 5, like side films. I think SGP and Zero 5 there's one big opening on top and bottom.

Personally, I bought Desmay for my iPhone 4 and 4S. I dropped my phone from chest high before, it cracked the case but it protected the sides and back....no scratch. It's the thinnest out there if you want the thinnest case. I'm waiting to order for my iPhone 5.

Hmmm I think I'll get the Slight, then. I really only want a case for scratch protection, and all the high quality clear skins are too complicated to put on.

Anyone even get their Zero 5 yet? I ordered mine a couple of days ago and it still says "processing."

Ordered on the 22nd...mine says processing as well. My guess is that they were misrepresenting that they had them "in stock" or they would have shipped by now. I don't like being lied to.

We should prolly start a Zero thread so we don't hijack this one anymore :)

EDIT- STARTED A THREAD FOR THE ZERO HERE
