yea, i love the price point and the channels that are available. $5/mo for HBO is nice also and HBO Go recognizes the subscription.

the guide absolutely sucks. they need to offer a remote as an option/accessory...don't want to navigate just using a phone or ipad

THANK YOU!!! I had no idea that HBO Go allowed sign-in with DIRECTV Now credentials! I just watched two episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm from HBO's on demand catalog through the HBO Go app on Apple TV and I made it through both episodes with no problems whatsoever. I could not do that through the DIRECTV Now app -- QP1502 errors all over the place. So glad I can use the HBO Go app and have reliable access to their content.

Depends. This weekend I could not stream The Golden Globes on any device..it's not available for streaming. So in this case, streaming was not flexible. Much to my dismay.
Oh, I meant flexible in a canceling and re-subscribing way. But, I am surprised that there was no way to stream the golden globes. If anything, couldn't you stream from a cable company streaming app?

At least for now, there might be some shows, and channels that might not be available for streaming, but I think the in a few years, just about everything will be available for streaming in some form.

I don't think so. I think it is a streaming rights content issue. It might have worked on the NBC app though. Not sure. I didn't get that far with it as I didn't feel like installing yet another app just to see.

But, that is the station it was broadcasted on..... If I was looking for the golden globes, that would be the first place I would check for streaming.

Now I am curious, if you didn't try NBC, what type of streaming app/website/service did you look for it on?

DirectTVNow.

I solve the live local channel problem by buying an antenna, bought an HD Homerun Connect connected to my router and bought the Channels app from App Store. I have a normal TV guide accessible on all my TV's through AppleTV and all my local channels ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and 30 something other channels all HD without a hitch. Investment was about $200 total, and I have no issues bouncing from app to app using with Direct Now and Channels app I have everything I need.
