As in, stuff that one wouldn't necessarily know, ie not covered in the overly brief description from Apple's website?

Want to switch from EU (my actual region) to US.
For a number of reasons.

Am trying to gather as much info as i can before i do it.

Anything you might have to offer on this, more than welcome.
With my thanks for reading as always 🙂

Brief as in not verbose 🙂
It covers the basics, which is basically how they keep getting money from you if you have subscriptions/cards/gift cards and so on.

It doesn't necessarily, who knows, that's why i'm asking, cover any pitfalls i may need be aware of in advance.
Takes a full month to revert this, so forewarned is forearmed, you know..

You always trust everything they tell you, 100%, no questions asked?
Most especially when it comes to companies making money out of you?
Even more so when they hype one thing, but may in fact be masking a more, erm, complicated reality?

Well, it’s saying to spend any balance & cancel any subs, and download any content. I really don’t think they’re trying to “trick” you or anything. So yeah, I trust that what they write is true, and if something is ambiguous I ask questions.

The only thing I don’t see mentioned specifically is AppleCare+, probably because current AC+ is covered under “subscriptions.” But someone COULD still have a 2-year plan in effect; I don’t know how that would be affected.

@FreakinEurekan appreciate your time man, really🙂

Was..am.. hoping someone else from EU that's done this will eventually post their experiences, because i'm not sure how strict Apple is on this one.
E.G. i have an American Express i issued in the US, while working there (duh); still have account and card, only now address linked is in the EU obviously; presumably this won't be accepted as a valid payment?
E.G. I have a Paypal account and Paypal's universal, but Apple also sees what i have in said Paypal account (once you've given permission, which you have to); would their seeing an EU location result in Paypal also not being accepted by them?

Don't mind cancelling my el cheapo subscriptions (the discount offers that come with a new MacBook) and re-subbing, but being unable to re-sub altogether? That's a no.

Then we move on to practical stuff.
I want iPhone Mirroring. EU region's a no no (and i get why). If i declare US but IP's still local, would i have an issue? Logic says no, but..
I want to purchase specific apps not listed in the EU region (App Store). I can declare i'm Martian if i feel like it, but does Apple allow this to bypass EU legislation? 'Cause am thinknig i'll still be unable to purchase the apps i want.

Etc. etc.

In practice, you know?🙂

Yeah those are broader concerns than “what do I need to do in order to change regions.”

Your billing method DOES need to match your country, so you’re right about your AmEx billed to Europe would not work. “Double-check that your name, billing address, and other information is spelled correctly and matches what you have on file with your financial institution.”

PayPal - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I just “added” it but I don’t know if it does the same type of address checking as credit cards or not.

And, I happen to BE in USA so I have no idea about your other concerns. Maybe some Europeans can jump in here…
