Howdy, all, was using USB Map Helper from GitHub's USBToolBox repo on a test WinDoze installation to determine ports for a new build.

The program does not seem to recognize USB-C devices, though - albeit on another machine - corpnewt's USBMap does see them on a Mac.

The USB-C device itself was recognized, and accessible via Explorer.

Is there any capability for USB Map Helper to see USB-C devices? Would rather have all the mapping done and the resulting kext generated before putting Mac onto the machine.

Please advise. Thanks!

There is (or at least used to be) a tool for Apple developers named "USB Prober".
Not sure if it's still included in developer kits, but the old version still works.
Can be troublesome to track down.

Was trying to gets ports discovered on WinDoze prior to building the Mac.

Thanks, though, may look that up and see if it has any different functionality than corpnewt's USBMap.

Take care!
