I remember reading something awhile back that when you get a developer account and enable an iphone with it, it is not recommended to use that iPhone for normal use.

Can anyone shed any light on that? (Other than the obvious fact that beta software may contain bugs.)

Because normally beta seeds expire and you want a fully functional phone, not a phone that will stop working for expired software.

Anyone have any insight on Apple's recommendation to create a seperate Apple ID for "business purposes?"

If I end up developing an app that I want to sell, what benefit does this give me? I kind of like having one apple ID, especially since the only way to change the ID on the phone is by syncing, unless that changes with 3.0

I am in the developer program and just downloaded the 3.0 beta.

The Preinstallation Advisory says I will *not* be able to go back to 2.2.

Oh well, here goes on the install!

Which is why if your are not a Dev or can't troubleshoot emergencies, you should get 3.0 until its official release
