The dev site is Down for maintenance. iOS 6 beta 2 maybe?
Could be. I wasn't expected B2 until next week.
Maybe iPhone 5 in September...
Yeah I thought next Tuesday but hopefully will see it today
Grr! I was just about to jailbreak to play with FaceTime over 3G and 3D Maps on my iPhone 4 - j/k - I've just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 Beta 1 after using it without issue on my iPad
[/COLOR]Anyone else running ios6 having trouble with the gps feature right now?
No problems for me
Interesting. This is what I'm getting right now. And no its not a signal problem as I tried before I hit the road and had full service. Its also having no problems tracking my location. The blue dot is moving with me down the parkway. Did a hard reset, next ill reinstall I guess.
That does not look like a GPS problem to me. Just a generic error that the maps server is having issues.
I just checked again. I'm getting that error message too.
I just opened maps, and the GPS found me and I even tested it with directions. Works fine for me at the moment.
Possibly a location based outage? Im in the northeast and having problems.
No idea with this beta. I'm sure we will see more posts if it continues.
Having the same issue here too. They probably are doing maintenance.
Site is back up, no new beta.
Indeed it is, I was out today and saw that I had an AT&T connection, yet multiple times today, I had no actual Internet.... While AT&T was showing I was connected....
Then explain why every other feature that requires a connection is fully functional.
i can get the blue dot thing, and search for locations, but can't get directions
says the map server is down,
Still down for me. Can Apple update the maps on the backend and once we connect with a network signal, they would slightly updated?
Yes since all map tiles are served from Apple not cached.
Interesting. Some of the maps could definitely use an update.
Also had no connection to Maps earlier here.
I'm sure my hometown has more POIs now. They must have made some map updates.
