Development of Japanese RPG fantasy games

    I've been interested in these Japanese fantasy games like this.


    What are the steps in creating a major RPG like this for iOS? Are the assets created in Maya/3DMax then imported into SpriteKit/SceneKit? Could you give a bit of a detailed explanation of the steps? Would companies like this be using Objective-C or Swift? Doesn't Swift produce more efficient code when accessing APIs like Metal?

    I didnt watch the video but there are also game creation tools available like unity or unreal. These are specifically made for creating games, infact each one has its own game engine.

    Creating any game includes art assets 3D or 2d. Audio assets as well as level design and story development. And don’t forget about actually coding everything.
