I currently have an iPad for reading and entertainment on the go and a 17 inch laptop for gaming and graphic intensive work but I want something I can use on the go for productivity. Would any of the MacBooks fill this gap? Which one of so?

Are you looking for a third device, i.e., iPad, 17" laptop and now a MBP?

If so, then perhaps an MacBook Air, or 13" MBP., If you're looking to replace the 17" model, then the 15" MBP would probably be a better fit.

What tasks will be looking to run on this computer?

Would the Air be a good choice for graphics? I am not sure on that one but the MBP makes sense if BTO for graphics is part of the purchase process.
