iOS 6 has some nice additions, but why does Apple have such an affinity for just making arbitrary color scheme changes to things that already look good? Sometimes it doesn't seem like it happens with any consistency or unifying color scheme, its just something new.

The white dialpad looks dumb.

Exactly. If they want to start using cheesy colors, they should at least be consistently cheesy.

When speaking about the design decisions, this is one time I truely believe this wouldn't have happened with Steve Jobs around.

Yes, agreed. There is no one dominant personality there so everyone/department gets to put in whatever they think is needed.
Let's see how fast this company goes downhill from here.

Yeah, I get the sense that there's no one at the top with impeccable taste in style any longer to raise hell about these things before they are released.

Such a shame. What a disappointment iOS 6 has been. No uniformity, sleekness or simplicity in this update.

I feel like I have an Android phone. BLAH.

I agree with the philosophy of why change something that does not need changing.

Apple have listened to people reporting to them that the iOS is looking dated and have attempted to spruce it up to appease, i believe.

We are used to the same old format used for years and some people find change hard.

Give it time and you'll acclimatise to the new iOS.

This is the fundamental problem. It has to be one person's vision, for better or worse.

Nah, it just sucks. I'm pretty aware of when I need to simply give myself time to get used to something. Like when I bought my first Mac, I knew I just needed to get used to it, this is different. While, yes, i'll eventually get used to it, I will never prefer it over what it replaced.

New Dial pad look

The white background with black number is horrible to use at night. It is way too bright and can blind the driver in a car. Suri works well for voice dialing it you live in a metropolitan area but in rural areas Suri leaves alot to be desired. Any idea if an option to go back to the older version is in the works?

i am really worried at the UI/design for this update.

they have so many colours, native apps do not look uniform. its a mess right now...
