You know the keyboard shortcut for the Dictionary Cmd+Ctrl+D? Well it's not working for me and I don't know why. I checked my keyboard shortcuts pane and it says its the same thing but I cant view the dictionary in Safari anymore. Why is that?

Even when I highlight the word and click "Open in dictionary", it doesn't open dictionary.

Is the Dictionary app located in your Applications folder? If it's been moved then it would explain the loss of functionality.

Yes Thank you. That solved the problem. It was in my favorites stacks. Does moving them to another folder make them lose some functionality? I didnt know that.

Yay, glad it's fixed now. 🙂 Apparently with some programs they need to be in the Applications folder, usually Apple's software. Third-party stuff is usually alright elsewhere.

Btw, if you want to make a shortcut icon for the app, you can press Command-L to make an Alias, which can be placed anywhere.
