Yep :) I used have Philfow as my name on NBR too.

Sounds like it did get a gamut increase. Sony Z has the highest gamut of all laptops screens if I recall correctly.

I used to have the Sony Z, so that's why I say that the yellow, orange, and red (on espn.com) seem to pop like that. When watching Tyson (fascinating documentary, btw), the colors were really vibrant and borderline exaggerated like the Sony Z's. No other laptop I had did that. I have a Dell Latitude E6500 that has a matte screen and uses the same panel as the macbook pro 2 gen ago (a great screen) and it was not as vibrant playing the same thing. I don't think that it's a calibration thing. I would have been fine with that screen as I would have really preferred matte, but to answer the question if the screen is different on the 15" macbook pros released this week, I think that the model # and the colors popping more indicate yes to me. To me, it is like having a 15" lcd tv. I think that the viewing angles are superb in every direction. It's definitely a pro quality screen. Taking the glass/glossy preference out of the equation, it's a step up for sure.
