I’ve had a variety of iPads for a few years, and I’ve recently been feeling like I should sell my iPad because I almost never used it due to my XS Max. Then, I went to a family member’s house for a weekend and ended up leaving my iPad there. I couldn’t make it back for a couple weeks, and I couldn’t believe how many times I went to reach for my iPad those two weeks. I realized I used it for far more than I had thought, and now there’s no way I would sell it. Even with the larger phones, I think the two devices really have their different use-cases (just like the iPad and MacBook have very different use-cases)

Well I don’t use my XR for movies, even though I could as I sub to all the streaming services, I do use it an awful awful lot for browsing.
I have a 9.7” iPad Pro, but it is a bit knackered and slow and lags so I don’t use it a whole lot, I just use my XR.
I only have a MacBook Pro 15” from 2010 too, I use this sometimes but really I want a new computer.

I love the new iPad Pro design and find it to be stunning, but I also would like a new computer. And for me as I have a big screen phone, I’d get a computer over an iPad.

I watch tons and tons of You Tube videos too and find my phone more convenient for this.

Also I plan to get the new XR next year if it gets an OLED. For me I see this as a better use of my money then an iPad.

Oh and.m on top of legal and management task I used the iPad Pro for, I’d rather play pubg on the 12.9 iPad Pro then my max. Lol

The iPad would likely be a 4-5 yr device for me. As long as it doesn’t get bogged down.

Nope - got the XS Max a while back and just got a 2018 12.9" Pro. I also have a 10.5" Pro and will keep it. The different sizes are nice for different activities.

I’m the same way. I like diversity, having different size iPads for different reasons is so much more useful for mobility, where my iPhone just really is my communication device, aside from checking my emails and the weather.

honestly i can survive without ipad but im always jealous when i see my mom enjoying bigger screen for games , she is using ipad mini 3..
we have air 2 but i dont enjoying using that for gaming(MOBA games)
decided to get mini 5 when i saw it under discount. ..

Not for me. I have the 11 also and the Max. I have actually decided I wanted to go to a smaller size phone since I use my iPad for almost everything (work and personal) while not on the go.

Same. I’m such a heavy iPP user, I can’t justify having a top-of-the-line phone. I did get an XR recently and am having a lot of fun with it.

I think both the XR and the Max are a little big. I thought I would really enjoy the larger size, but I think the 5.8 is perfect. I'll be good with that this year.

I’ve had a plus phone for years, so for me this is a slight reduction in size, while getting more screen. 5.8 is too small for my preference. My eyes are crap.

I'm not a fan of selling my iPads since I usually get good use out of them. I use my 1st gen 9.7 pro for reading a lot. I use my 12.9 3rd gen for browsing the web and video often. My son uses the mini 4 for everything he does as well. When I get home the iPhone goes onto a counter and isn't usually used until I leave the house again.

I’ve been a huge iPad cheerleader since the first model—replacing my MacBook for a few years. But ever since the 12-inch MacBook and iPhone X, I’ve happily phased out the iPad for good. A completely useless device for me.
