Glad I was able to google this and find a post. No good info when I went to the internet and looked for Bullroar. ATT was very helpful and gave us the credit for the charges--that we did not make nor authorize. Check you bill closely!:)

Scam Text charge

I received a text from 58497 - MobbibroIQ Fun Facts that I was billed $9.99 for a service I had not subscribed to. Said Reply Stop to cancel (which ( did) and then gave a number to call 1-888-890-6150 to speak to in regards to customer service. Called to get the $9.99 taken off of my account and they are an Asian Pacific account claiming to be called Mobile Media and have a headquarters in California. They said they would mail a check within 7 to 10 days but needed my name and home address to do it because they could not issue a refund as they are not my phone company. I asked for their address and they said they are not authorized to give that information. I spoke to the supervisor who also refused to give me any further information about the company. They "assured" me it was not a scam to steal my identity and that my information was confidential. I said i needed to speak to HER supervisor and she put me on hold and disconnected the call. I called AT&T and got them to remove the charge (they had apparently billed me for the last 2 months) and reported them.

This morning I noticed our AT&T bill was higher than normal which was odd b/c we have unlimited everything. I found 2 charges on my AT&T bill this morning that should not have been there. Called AT&T and they refunded me $40 for the last 2 months. One was "BULLROARE" for $9.99 and the other was from "SayNow.com" for $9.99. Something should be done about companies like this just plain stealing money.

The AT&T rep couldn't explain the blocking they offer where I could understand how it would affect iPhones so I passed on it.

don't forget that AT&T gets a percentage of the charges, which is why they allow these scams to happen.

It has been happening for the past 2 bill cyles under ILUVMYCRUSH.COM...9.99$

Luckily I chance across this post, otherwise I wouldn't have notice it! so Thanx OP!

Anyway, I called ATT about the unauthorized charges and have them refund me the total cost...why some of you guys tried to call them and request the refund from these thieves instead?

My wife's iPhone 4 account has been getting spammed by the MBLOX stuff, too. Several $9.99 chargers over the last few months.

those that called the thieves directly and request a refund...why did you not go through AT&T instead?

is there something I am missing?

WOW!! I just caught 2 of these on my bill. I am on the line with AT&T and they are back dating me credit, approximately $250. If this is happening to you, call AT&T and get the purchase block. Good Luck!

Scam charges

Just saw the fraudulent charge on my iphone 4 AT&T bill this morning. I was charged $10.88 for AT&T "monthly subscriptions" from the provider 'Bullroare'. I promptly called AT&T to dispute the charge and to find out what it was from since I have never added a 'monthly subscription' to anything let alone a provider called 'Bullroare'.

The operator from another country promptly credited my account which indicated to me that he was familiar with this problem. He explained that I may have purchased a subscription via AT&T which is not true because I have never done such a thing. He told me that 3rd party providers sell subscriptions to AT&T customers via unsolicited text messages and that I may have purchased one unknowingly (BS). I told him that I had been getting spam texts recently but have never responded to them and furthermore the texts have never been described as a 'subscription'.

I then asked the operator if he thought it was in AT&T's best interest to allow third party providers to spam their customers in the hopes of tricking their customers into agreeing to an additional $10 per month subscription. I would wager in this age of online bill payment options that thousands if not millions of customers are paying this fraudulent charge because they are enrolled in an auto-payment plan and assume the extra $10 is an overage fee.

The operator promptly gave me a $25 credit on top of the $10.88
he credited back for the fraudulent charge for "being a valued customer". I think the BBB should investigate this extensively because AT&T and their "3rd party providers" are straight stealing from their customers.

my bill was slammed 3 times in the last 3-4 months. One was the Obama Campaign (we are not democrats and don't contribute to their campaign), one was for mytones ringtone service and the last one hit us 2 times now, which is ATT Navigation services.

We've since added a purchase block, but the ATT charges keep coming through. Calling ATT, they remove the charges, but they tend to show up again as something else the following month.
