That was the most ridiculous thread I've ever seen on here.

    Well, it was...interesting.

The logic of the claim was somewhat dubious, but an entertaining thread nonetheless. Pity it was closed.

    Good, I'm pleased :D

No, really it was an interesting thread. And I see your point, but still disagree.

If you say, that the average price rose, you ignore the 13" cMBPs and rMBPs.

Why do I think they should be considered in this? If you are saying that the 15" rMBP should be considered the same product line as the 15" cMBP, I might as well argue, that you should apply the same to the 13" rMBP and 15" rMBP. They actually share a lot more with each other than the 15" cMBP and rMBP, and could as well be considered the same product, now only with the screen size as an arbitrary distinction between them, instead of screen resolution.

So you could argue I'm making an artificial and arbitrary distinction, but I could reply with that argument too. And no-one will be the wiser.

So I hope we can agree to disagree?

It was an outrageous thread made very little sense and the dubious argument seemed entirely circular. Nobody really disagreed with anyone else just nitpicked semantics for the whole thing. What a wonderfully pointless thing it was.

All you had to do was change your thread title to, Entry level 15" Macbook Pro's more expensive than 2 years ago and you would've been correct.

Yeah, looking back on it, I probably should have done that.

As Samuelsan points out, I'm not sure that we disagree.

I just don't see how people can think that ... nevermind. Let's not get this one locked too.

    Ha!

I'd like to think my last post, which began with the phrase, "What the eff?", had a little something to do with the mercy-killing of that thread. :D

    Good times, good times...

Maybe so. I had just hit the "Submit Reply" button on a post directed towards you when I got the "thread closed" message.

    I'm glad I didn't make it. :)
