You also do nothing but bitch about the product and then return it or sell it to someone else and then disappear from the forums until the following year orders.
Don't let one fault let you not live your life the way you want. If you want a matte black phone get a matte black phone. If you lose it you can always ping it or call it from another phone...

Is that the Saddle Brown case? Looks good! I ordered Saddle Brown after having a Midnight Blue version for my 6s Plus. I was ready for a change.I went with silver 7+. I use the apple leather case so it really doesn't matter what color the back is. The silver/white front looks good with all of the leather cases. Here's a shot of my 6S+:
Tell me about it. I almost ordered silver because when I was pre-ordering it said silver would be delivered by the 16th but I just don't like the front being white, so I'm waiting an extra 3 weeks for a black.
Yeah I've ordered the silver 256 smaller screen. Previously only ever had black/grey iPhones and been on the plus models for the last 2 gens so it'll be a big change. The silver was the only one I could get for release day, I think it's the least popular.

Went with 32GB gold and this morning I got a shipping notification!! Silver is a nice color to match with all cases though.
I ordered silver 256 from Apple to use with Verizon. My confirmation email came ten minutes after the preorders started. They charged my card, still shows the date of 16th. Nothing on my support profile or UPS.

Yep, I went for a 128gb Silver 7 Plus...with a 9/16 expected delivery. I've always gone with silver/white, ever since the offered the alternative with the...could you get the iPhone 3G in silver/white, or was it the iPhone 3Gs? Also went for a 'Midnight Blue' silicone case, to match a regularly worn Apple Watch strap and my iPad Pro case. Kinda like things to match!
For those that have gone silver, what kind of cases have you ordered? Had my fingers burnt a couple of times with leather so am staying away this year.

Yo! I bought silver. I love the silver ring on the home button. I ordered the 256gb silver. Scheduled delivery for the 16th. I mainly upgraded from the 6s plus to the 7 because of the camera. I love photography.

I ordered the silver 7 128gb ATT model. I have a 9/16 delivery date and preparing for shipping, but nothing in my support profile and I cannot track via order number on UPS.
After hours of reading the forums, I feel like everyone ordered Matte Black or Jet Black. I haven't heard of any silver folks. So... Are you guys out there? What's going on with your order?
I ordered the Silver iPhone 7 Plus 128 Verizon at 4pm EST. I'm picking it up at my local Apple store at 9am Friday. Before I used to have it mailed, but I've quickly come to realize shipping it to the store is significantly easier and faster. You don't need to wait for a delivery, don't need to worry about it being stolen and if there are any issues you're already at the Apple store. I had no issues ordering the silver. I don't like black anymore and honestly 99% of users cover their phone in a case anyway.

No matter which color you ordered the functions will perform the same. The outside is only cosmetic, though with some perceptions and possible differences in scratch risks.
The jet black may be more prone to scratching.
Some perceive black bezels more favorable to viewing videos. I'm not in that group. I prefer white bezels for video, reading and photo viewing. I've had the white bezel for the past 4 model phones so I'm certain about this.
I have friends/colleagues with various colors of iPhones, no difference in function. That's why Apple makes various choices. Perception and preference. Be happy with your choice as it is tailored to you.

I've always gone with the black silicone but I may go with another color this year since it's my first white phone. I've gotten the the leather in the past and it really doesn't do well with moisture, sweat or otherwise, so I'll definitely stick with the silicone.
I wanted a matte black 256, but ordered a silver 256 since it was the only option available that i liked that was avail for 9/16. But i found a mate black 256 avail for 9/16 via Best Buy.
Now I have both coming on Friday. Will return the silver to Apple next week.

Originally went with 7+ in silver, but decided to cancel that pre-order and went with the 7 in silver instead, but showing delivery for 9/23. Hoping i'm pleasantly surprised this week and get it on Friday instead. Won't hold my breath though.
I've been going with silver/white iPhones since the 4S but went with Jet Black this time. Couldn't resist something so shiny.
I ordered silver 7 this morning (Verizon) and have 9/28 as a ship date. All other colors are showing 9/23- I am tempted to cancel and order a gold- I like both anyway. Does cancelling online cause any trouble with the trade in, when resubmitting the whole ordered?
