Yeah apples switch to intel was a great movie and to be honest i dont think apples maket share would be were it is today if it wasnt for the switch heck the reason i cambe back for the mac was cause they went to intel chips

I still think there would've been great potential with PowerPC...

IBM had no compelling incentive to consistently produce desktop PPC chips which could compete with Intel's speed, mobility, and cooler temperature operation. IBM left Apple hanging in the wind for quite a few years before Apple made what turned out to be a brilliant move. Unless you want to operate a mainframe, with 20 AC units pumping coolant through it, PowerPC will not remain competitive with x86 in the consumer and professional workstation, desktop, and mobile platform arenas. This is true of pricing as well. Intel's roadmap was a clear indicator of this back in 2006. Apple would never have gained such significant market share had it not been for this move, which has already dramatically increased third-party software development.

Absolutely. Now, the only thing which differentiates Windows PCs and Macs is OSX, which is far superior to and more compelling than Windows, period.
