Did Apple just kill off the Stainless Steel Apple Watch??

Well, they really only said the starting prices on the low end. They mentioned the ceramic but not the price. I would say SS is still there, but nothing surprises me.
How do I put the SS Apple Watch on the charging pad?

Pretty sure they just showed a SS series 3 on the charging pad, so guess it's still here - thankfully!
They showed steel AWs Hermes watches with the red button. There are also two ceramic versions coming as well.
It seems theres no Stainless Steel available without cellular, at least thats the case in Ireland.

Same in the US. The only non-cellular version is the base Aluminum with sport bands. You can't even get a sport loop without LTE.
The Series 3 stainless steel watches are in the store. They even added band options. So, no it's still there, although it appears that it is not available in a non-cellular version (not surprising, given the premium price over aluminum).
