Did Apple raise the prices of films in the UK iTunes Store when they increased app prices around January 2017 due to the fall in the value of the pound?

I ask because all the news articles from around that time talk about app prices and films will probably follow suit, but I can’t find anything to confirm they did. I’m using CheapCharts to track prices of films I would like to buy. I can wait it out until they drop in price but I’m wondering if I’m wasting my time expecting them to drop to a low they have been before if there has been an increase in the base price since January 2017.

I hope that makes sense.

Ive noticed of late that the price drops have not been as great as they have been in the past. I too was wondering if Apple had amended their pricing - especially on sale items. Sale item prices are on par, if not on some films more expensive than physical blu rays!
