Did Apple screw me over?

I did the whole back to school promo/rebate thing in a apple retail store and the lady their gave me instructions to get my rebate and stuff.

So anyway I did everything and stuff and I got printer with the promo so the printer was 100$ off with rebate.

So I submitted the apple rebate claim online and they only mail me 199$ for the ipod touch. I didn't get the 100$ for the printer.

I would call but they are close right now.

The rebate for the printer comes from the printer manufacturer. If you bought an HP printer, the rebate comes from HP. Its gonna be another month or so, they take awhile.

Yeah I bought the HP printer too with the promo

Apple automatically forward the rebate claim to HP also right.

BEcause I only submitted the rebate claim on apple's website.

No, I do not think so. I think you have to go through HP. There should have been something from HP, not Apple.

Wait...I may have lied to you. I just read the rebate form. It looks like Apple should be issuing the rebate form for the printer. Sorry about that.

Did you Get the photosmart C4780? I did. I can't get WiFi to work. The printer locks up, and it disconnects from the computer all by it's self.

I checked and it said they sent me a check of 199$ instead of 299$ for the printer rebate.

I didn't even open the printer yet. Did you get the rebate for it though?

I didn't do the back to school promotion but I done the one where the printer was £70 and the rebate was £70 after I had sent the labels from the Macbook Pro box and the Printer Box away it was only a few weeks before I got the £70 cheque from Apple.

Two completely different rebates. You will NOT get a single check for $299. Have patience and give it another week or two. Understand they are processed at two different centers and will not arrive in the same time frame.
