Did Apple turn off Automatic Termination in 10.7.2?

I've noticed that apps that were quitting by themselves such as preview and textedit haven't been doing that recently. Is there any explanation or is it only me?

they're still quitting for me, they only quit when they're in the background, are you sure your app is in the background?

Strange, Preview used to quit as soon as I would click onto the desktop or any other app… Now it stays there! Maybe it does quit after more time, or maybe it still quits but the icon stays there to avoid confusion.
